6-6-6

Photo Credit: Getty/SiberianPhotographer  6-6-6 I can bet the very first thing that came to mind on sighting that number is "The mark of the beast": especially my christian brethren. You can as well calm down now. Angel Micheal is not ready to blow the trumpet. The date 6-6-6 was a fearful one that year as various news, prophecies, words of knowledge to mention but a few kept flying around. It was presumed to be the day the underworld would strike and every believer should be in church, praying. As a result, all roads led to the redemption camp. Trust African mothers. The day preceding the D-Day was my church's Holy Ghost night while the Saturday was Mfm's Power Must Change Hands program. Mum decided to kill two birds with a stone. My sister and I were dressed in SU clothing. The image of my cap that year keeps coming to my head and I can't help but laugh. That cap should be a national treasure. We completed the holy ghost night service and moved to MFM. It was a

CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE

Image
Picture credit: Pixtastock.com (Stickman Kids...) An average number of adults who grew up in Nigerian homes can relate to having visitors around and the reality of receiving monetary gift from them. But we all know how those money ended... That's story for another day. Childhood experiences have a way of shaping our mentality as an adult: directly or indirectly. Mine was having issues with visitors around especially when the visitor didn't give us tips or remain food and drink for me😂. Nigeria was still very good then. So visitors usually have a swell time. As a child, our living space was not large so we had little or no privacy at all. I always had issues whenever visitors come visiting because it meant we had to excuse the room and wait outside for hours. Trust an African mother to give that legendary eye signal and you dare not disobey except you want to see imaginary stars.  There were times we would be having nice family time and a visitor would pop out of nowhere and th

VILLAGE PEOPLE ENCOUNTER

Image
Picture credit: deposit photos When it comes to dealing with village people, you just have to pay obeisance to them if you don't want them to se yeye you infront of aradugbo . Apart from the heartbreak that happened later in the day, yesterday was a lucky day. I was delving into the difficult aspect of my course outline and to some extent, I was scared. I was more than confused when my instructor started drawing lines for pattern. Construction was the only Maths topic I loved in secondary school but this was more complex. To be honest, I hated Maths. The relationship between both of us is toxic. Maths should be abolished in this life because what is all these numbers tori olorun . But God so good, I did mine and it came out well. My joy knew no bound. I was beaming. I did not hesitate to tell anyone who cared to listen that I overcame this pattern by the blood of the lamb (let me be religious a bit). MY BREAKFAST STORY

Image
Picture credit: mobile.twitter.com One of the most important aspect of my life people are so interested in is my relationship status. I have gotten so many questions whether I am single, engaged or married. To some extent, the third option is not feasible since it would be so obvious if I'm married. Well, you cannot say though. I may decide to keep it from the public as usual. But who would not want to flaunt her wedding band; even though I may mistakenly flush it down the drain due to my clumsiness. Now, let's get to the main gist... "Love is a beautiful thing..." Scratch that, it is cliche. I am only trying to sound like an helpless romantic. Weeew! It is not easy putting this out. But see ehn, nobody is above breakfast o, ehn ehn . I got involved with this guy two years ago. At first, I did not take notice of him even though he was always in my face almost every day.  Until God opened my eyes... He was all shades of handsome: smooth and beautiful skin, perfect heig

DAY 7: FAVOURITE MOVIE

Image
Well, it takes the grace of God the father, God the son, God the holy ghost to farabale and watch a movie without fast-forwarding it. I can watch a one hour movie in 10 minutes. Safe to say, I don't have a favourite movie. Thank you!  Till tomorrow, Mobola .

MEET THE CREATIVES: SEPH

Image
Picture credit: Image Diamond The story of the creatives would not be complete if I don't introduce you to a particular boy in an old man's body.  Meet Seph - the father of all hoes in CWG. Seph does not get a joke easily, especially one that is not related to hoeism. But when he finally does, his   hysterical laughter surely sends everyone into a laughing spree. Everyone always looks forward to his "oh! I get" when a joke has died down.  Blame him not, jokes does not have b$$bs and a$$ - those two are what triggers his brain. A combination of Seph and Ayusco will leave you rolling on the floor all day.  One would have thought he is conversant with the holy book since he is named after a bible character (Joseph) but our dear old man does not even know Moses was a stammerer. You can imagine the shock on his mum's face when she heard of it too. Sunday school teachings have entered the forest.😂 Whispers Come closer, I want to tell you something. Uncle Seph had an

DAY 6: SINGLE AND HAPPY

Image
I woke up vibing to Tiwa Savage's Somebody son. I was singing the song religiously and doing some moves in the bathroom while brushing my teeth. Little did I know that today's topic is single and happy. Coincidentally, today is Saturday: another glorious day for owanmbe . But as usual, I'm curled up in my favorite corner of the house, romancing my phone.  Hmmm single? It is so obvious everyone will rush to read this post just to know Mobola's status. Na una dey kukuma rush me. Wait fess! DJ play me All the single ladies 😹 Oh yes, daughter of Zion is single. Infact I subscribed to the premium package. I am of the believe that a human female is single until someone's son put a wedding band on her fingers and exchange marital vows. Since I have not done that, mo single pa .  Am I happy? Obviously! Na single I single, I no kill person. There is this freedom that comes with being single. No one is watching you. No one is taming you, especially for people like me that
