LOGICAL ARGUMENT

I try as much as possible not to take part in public argument especially on trivial issue or trending topics. This is not because I do not know what to say but because I understand that not everyone is blessed with the gift of logical argument; while some can logically argue with no beef or fight, others cannot. Plus we are quite different and so is our reasoning. but I need people to understand that the world is not always black and white and that someone does not see from your perspective does not make them less human or less knowledgeable. We are wired differently in order to think critically. 

One of the main ingredient to a successful agreement is critical thinking and open mindedness to learn and unlearn things. In this case, it may be you learning something or the other party. However, it has been established that most argument in Nigeria is not tailored towards critical thinking and to some extent it is always narrow-minded. Please note that I am not saying those who engage in argument are senseless but the way we go about it sometimes still baffles me. 

Hardly will you see people arguing physically or on the cyberspace without abusing one another because they try to force their belief down the throat of their counterpart; which is not suppose to be so. A typical argument triangle is say your own, while I say mine and we reach a consensus. Why do you need to abuse others just to make them see from your own angle? Ko neccesstri nau.

Argument is a process of reasoning and must be treated as such. there is no harm in walking away if others fail to see from your own angle. In time past, argument have degenerated into unpalatable experiences for some people. do not create a scene all in the name of argument. This is Mobola's one cent to you reading this.
