JOLLOF RICE AND CHICKEN

I did a virtual catching up with some friends yesterday and yeah we really had a nice time, however, something broke the carmel's back. A particular lady, after the usual pleasantries, came up with "when is your wedding. I can't wait to eat jollof rice and chicken". As opposed to  my usual self, I was calm because I felt some things are better explained and drilled hard into people's brain before they get it. So I replied with " awwwn! It must be so long you ate jollof rice and chicken at home that you crave for it so badly; even if it means eating it a wedding".

Now, this isn't me being sarcastic or trying to savage her. I further ask what was delaying her from getting married too and she replied "school" and moreover, her priorities are different from that now. A good and perfect answer I was looking for!  

Certain responsibilities come with a ring. It is not all about the paparazzi. Are you even willing to shoulder the responsibilities that comes after wedding. If I call you for help after my wedding, will you be willing to help me out? Are you interested in me getting married because you want my happiness or simply because of the show off that comes with that day; being called ore iyawo, ladies in asoebi blah blah? Or are you pushing me to get married because you want to eat jollof rice and chicken!

Me sef love good thing na. I love to be paraded as iyawo dressed in a white ball gown with my beloved walking the aisle with me. The only difference between you and I is this:

While all what you see is that day's jollof rice and chicken and feferity , I see something that goes beyond that. I see a lifetime! I see commitment! I see something beyond your reasoning! You should not put your fellow under undue pressure because of your own pleasure. OMG! I just rhymed💃

P.S: If it's rice and chicken that's doing you, I'd order for you. Don't subject me to life imprisonment because of that.

    Anything living or non living can generate pressure!
    Its how we take the pressure that matters a lot
    There are two kinds of pressure
    The External and
    The Internal
    The worst kind of pressure to deal with is the internal pressure
    Where the likes of peer pressure fall in is the external
    Anyone can be swayed by trivial things but once it comes to things that would reflect in the future we shouldn't take it lightly.
    No two human can have the same attributes or plans and objectives and the world is what you want it to be for you
    Variables like wisdom knowledge, understanding, emotional intelligence, et al differs in individuals
    The good thing is they can either develop or underdevelop the choice is still yours to make.
    Don't let anyone bamboozle you because he or she is operating in his or her own time.

  I was going through my telephone address book dated 2008/2014 yesterday and discovered that I was no longer in contact with 90% of the people I had recorded therein. It is not like they became a bad person all of a sudden but there is every plausibility that we outgrew each other's relevancy. Now this is the real deal. Life is in stages and so is growth and development. Consciously or unconsciously, there are numbers of behaviour cum people you leave as you grow.
