IS MARRIAGE THE NEXT THING?

Happy new year lovers. The very much anticipated year 2020 is finally here and it is so significant. Reason being that it is the beginning of a new decade. Now to the main point.

Barely two hours ago, I had put up a status on Whatsapp which reads "after school, what next?". This invariably sparked various responses from viewers. However, most responses were centered on "marriage" being the next option after school.

Now, the question is " Should marriage be the next thing after school, especially in this age and time?

I would really love to have your take on this matter. Kindly leave a reply in the comment section.

Thanks for reading.

Till the moon shines bright again,
Mobola

  2. Well, if you're fit for marriage then go for it.
But for some of us that our heads work like clock, there are grounds that still need breaking and we're still going to make waves

    1. True. One's plan for one's life goes a long way. But the responsibility that comes with the ring is something to think about twice.

    1. Wow. This is really insightful and basically deep. However, we still need to tailor our lives by making and executing our plans even though life after school presents us with no timetable. This is to avoid living a disorganized lifestyle.

  7. This is a very personal question. So I'll say, go for what you think matters to you most. If it is marriage, then so be it. But if you feel you have to spend some time developing yourself in other aspects of life before you think of marriage, face it. As for me, marriage never dey my to-do list o. Lol #MMBM

    1. You have a point. To me, I feel seeking for development is the key thing after school.

    2. Yea! That's why I said it's more of a personal decision. You and I opt for development you see but someone else might say marriage. Due to different reasons Sha. It's good to get married early in life but it becomes uncalled for if one is not well or at least to an extent sufficiently equiped for it.

  8. For me personally, marriage is a no no after school. Though people have different views on things, after school, developing your adult life should be first as well as breaking new grounds

    1. So you go by the saying "if it's not making money, it's not making sense".

  10. Marriage is faaaarrrrrr from me, it is like the last thing on the list of things I want to do with my life and it's crazy cause in africa there are so many expectations on marriage for the girl child. I need to blow first lol

    1. The expectations placed on marriage in Africa is so great. Little attention is given to self development after school. All what they want is someone rushing into marriage.

      Thanks for your contribution.
