READING; THE RAINBOW OF LIFE

It is of no doubt that reading adds colour to life and meaning to one's existence. Each book read is like a sharpened colour pencil. Although some people are still oblivious to this wonderful fact.

However, the good news is that we can share our coloured pencil with others by suggesting wonderful books we have read. This is to encourage others to build reading habits.

Kindly suggest and leave a review of the books you've read in the comment section and let us share in your library.

Reading is fun!
Reading is beautiful!
Reading is power!

  5. First of all, reading for exam is not fun. Edakun. But reading for knowledge, to broaden your word bank, for bragging rights, scientific research, science theories, mindblowing articles, 'ghen ghen' stories/poems...that is orgasmic.

With that, y'all should read the following:
    - Weep not, Child (Ngugi Wa'thiongo)
    - Origin East Africa - A makerere anthology (Compiled and Edited by David Cook)
    - The gods are not to blame (Ola Rotimi)
And several others I can't remember right now. These are books about legacy, africa as a whole and knowledge.

    1. Intensive reading, sometimes, isn't fun. But extensive reading is the main deal😎

Ngugi Wa Thiong'o's books are usually well detailed and insightful. Have you read Petals of Blood?

    2. Ngugi Wa Thiongo's book are the real deal. I think I have. There are so many African writers that transforms history into reality with a pen in hand.

  8. All of Sophie Kinsella books cause I can confidently say she has no bad books.

I recommend starting with "Can you keep a secret?" (Cause her book I read.) Then you can proceed to the "Shopaholic series". Trust me, you're in for a thrill.

    1. Reading for exam is stressful, I know but we just have to keep up with it. I wish you success at the end of it all.

Books have a way of taking us around the world with just flipping of pages. I'm glad you can relate.

Chimamanda Adichie is a renown author and she's really doing great.

      Thanks for the suggestion.

  12. Notes from underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The "underground" of the mind is the treacherous terrain into which Dostoevsky here delves deep, exposing its most buried fears and desires.
